Scott Contessa Solace 25 Disc Womens Road Bike – 2017 Small (51cm). Key Features Frame: Contessa Solace Disc HMF Carbon Fork: Solace HMF Carbon Flatmount Disc Headset: Syncros Integrated Drivetrain: Shimano 105 5800 Wheels: Syncros Road Disc Tyres: Continental Grand Sport Race Fold 700×28C Finishing Kit: Syncros Approx. Weight: 8.34 Kg Description The Contessa Solace 25 Disc shares the same frameset as range topping Contessa Solace 15 but comes with slightly more wallet friendly components, making it an ideal choice for people who are looking to take their riding to the next level without breaking the bank. The full carbon frameset has been designed with women specific geometry to provide a perfect balance of comfort and performance on the roads. The frame features two zones, a Power Zone and Comfort Zone, resulting in a stiff and responsive bike that will take a beating all day long without you doing the same. The One of the great features of the Solace range is the pencil-thin seatstays which are extremely flexible. The rear brake sits under the chainstays behind the bottom bracket shell, freeing up the rear end allowing it to feel supremely smooth. The consistent and reliable Shimano 105 drivetrain is paired with a Syncros Road Disc wheelset which is fast rolling, strong and highly reliable for long days in the saddle. The addition of the Shimano Hydraulic Discs ensures optimum breaking power, regardless of the conditions. Completing the Contessa Solace 25 is a Syncros finishing kit including handlebar, stem, seatpost and saddle. If you are looking for a lightweight bike, with a great specification that will provide all day comfort without breaking the bank, look no further than the Contessa Solace 25 Disc. Contessa Solace Series The solace has been designed to offer a comfortable ride without sacrificing immediate power transfer and direct handling abilities. To achieve this, Scott engineers designed a bike that consists of two specific “zones” that improve the comfort and power transfer characteristics of the Solace – The comfort zone and the power zone. The upper section, top tube, seatstay and seat tube attend to comfort, while the chainstay, down and head tubes and upper fork see to stiffness. However, it doesn’t stop there: The solace offers an endurance-optimized geometry that allows for a more comfortable riding position on the bike and countless hours in the saddle without any discomfort. About Scott Founded in 1958 by Ed Scott, a talented engineer and competitive skier, the company launched the world’s first tapered aluminium ski pole to universal acclaim, setting a precedent of technical innovation that continues to this day. After moving through motocross the first mountain bike model was launched in 1986, whilst the 1989 Tour De France saw the debut of the aerodynamic handlebar that famously helped Greg Lemond to claim the yellow jersey from the late Laurent Fignon in the legendary final time trial on the cobbles of the Champs-Élysées. The 1990’s saw Scott establish themselves firmly within the MTB market, with world cup winning forks, the world’s first carbon fibre mountain bike the Endorphin, and the worlds lightest full suspension MTB’s the G-Zero in 98 and Strike in 2000. Today Scott offers a comprehensive and progressive range of bikes, with all models, from the entry level Aspect or Sportster to the high end Genius LT, Addict and women specific Contessa ranges featuring the most advanced construction techniques, components and materials available. Pioneers of Carbon Fibre in both road and mountain applications; the CR1 and IMP production techniques coupled with exclusive HMF and HMX carbon fibre grades allow for some of the lightest and strongest bikes on the market today, whilst innovative frame design and close links with leading component manufacturers such as DT Swiss ensure that all Scott bikes perform flawlessly at all levels.
